I started making short films about stone carving two years ago. I was immediately fascinated by how we could manipulate the very time intensive art of stone carving into a few minutes of film. I love stone carving and find that there are many dramatic moments within it, pivotal moments like when a stone is split apart, or when a tool pierces through a stone , or that magic moment when we stand a piece up for the first time. These films are an attempt to share that excitement. We will be presenting a new film called The Shadow Carver in June featuring the use of magical powers to carve stone.
